Columbia Law School’s accelerated, 24-credit Executive LL.M. in Global Business Law is the only degree-granting program of its kind in New York City.

Designed for ambitious, experienced lawyers, our flexible program enables you to spend minimal time away from home and work while studying global business law with world-renowned scholars and practitioners.

Program Overview

Combining the expertise of top corporate law faculty with a hybrid format, this program empowers you to advance your career with purpose and efficiency.

Begin Your Studies Online
Our dynamic online classes are specially designed for hybrid teaching, meaning they include both live class meetings and independent work. You’ll meet with faculty and fellow students ~2 times a week for 2–3 hours.

Complete Your Summer Residency
This intensive, 12-week residency is a key component of the Executive LL.M. program. During your time on our NYC campus, you’ll complete 4 six-week electives as well as participate in the Colloquium in Global Business Law. While in the city, you can also attend curated events such as alumni and faculty networking happy hours, a Broadway show, or a visit to the United Nations.

Finish Your Degree Online
Upon completion of your residency, you’ll return home to take your final course before being awarded your degree in October.

Cohort Model

Thanks to our use of a cohort model, you’ll study as part of a small, intimate group designed to maximize exposure to fellow students and faculty.
